Sibling
“Sibling” explores the unique, complex and playful dynamic of siblinghood. Drawing from the choreographer’s own personal experiences and relationships with her siblings, this duet aims to touch on the bonds and symbiotic ties siblings hold together. The work won second prize, the Dr. Christiane Hackerodt Art Foundation Award Choreography at the 40th Hannover Choreographic Competition, along with two commission awards for Tanz Linz (Landestheater Linz) and Tanztheater Braunschweig.

Sugar pill is a 40 minute work commissioned in 2026 by Theater Chemnitz through the production prize at the 38th Hannover Choreographic Competition.
The work examines how belief, regardless of truth, shapes perception, behaviour, and the body.

Mother
Mother is a 40 minute work commissioned by Landestheater Vorpommmern in 2025. The piece examines the effects of social media on our sense of being by drawing a parallel between our relationship to social media and the relationship one has with a mother. Like the maternal bond, this relationship is often marked by contradiction: it can be reassuring, offering comfort, connection, and validation, while also being intrusive or fraught with conflict. In this way, social media assumes a maternal role that is deeply ambivalent - one that sustains us even as it unsettles us.

I’m Trying to help
This duet was created in 2024 by Zoë Ashe-Browne in collaboration with dance artists Nelson Earl and Louis Thuriot. The piece explores the idea of offering help or intervention when it is not wanted. The work finalised at the 38th Hannover Choreographic competition, winning a production prize with Theater Chemnitz.

Hózhó
Hózhó is a short dance work commissioned by Opera Ballet Flanders in 2023 for the Royal Family of Belgium’s East Fund Charity Gala. Featuring chamber music by Johann Sebastian Bach, the work premiered at the Antwerp Opera House and Gent Opera House.
Oíche
A collaboration between Zoë, audio-visual artists The Cope, The Royal Museum of Fine Arts of Antwerp (KMSKA) and starring James Vu Anh Pham (Winner - National Dance Awards Critics Circle, Best Contemporary Dancer 2022), Oíche is a celebration of dichotomy and diversity. The film begins with the birth of the protagonist, The Dancer, in the old world, and follows him on a voyage of self discovery. As he works through the manifestations of the self he is lead on a journey of celebration and liberation in a new world.

True Romance
True Romance, is the debut single and dance film from The Cope. The work is a meditation on love, isolation and control. It was shot on location in Antwerp, Belgium and features a dance duet created by Zoë Ashe-Browne
Spiro
Commissioned for, and performed live at the Gent Festival of Flanders 2020. Spiro delves into themes of loneliness, isolation, and the need for connectivity.
Flux
Created in 2019 for Ballet Vlaanderen’s ‘Choreolab’ platform. This piece explores the theme of change and one’s relationship to the constant.
It has since been performed at the 2022 Limerick Dance Festival, the re-opening of the Kortrijk Schouwburg (Belgium), and as part of a triple bill for Valencia Dancing Forward.
Us
Created in 2018 through an Arts Council Ireland Dance Bursary and a supported residency from Dance Ireland. The piece explores the theme of emigration and the psyche of the outsider. It was programmed by Ballet Ireland in 2019 for their triple bill ‘Bold Moves’. This piece was further developed to be performed at the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
